Summer of twenty twelve

Hey everyone, my name’s Teddy, or Tedward as Barbie insists on calling me (she’s my co-worker here in Admissions) and I’m a senior tour guide and interviewer at Dickinson College. Life’s been good this summer, living in Carlisle has been a real treat, working all day and hanging with friends all night, I suppose it doesn’t get much better than this! Right now I’m in training to be a Student Interviewer, which means some of you fortunate readers (that have mustered through this much of the blog so far) might have me as your interviewer! Worry not, I promise to be nice, and as a show of good faith here’s a couple good things to do before your interview…

1. Check yourself for stains, missed buttons or open flies. Let’s not forget the age old adage “look good, feel good, do good!”
2. This probably goes without saying but know the school that you’re interviewing with-its Dickinson College, not Dickinson University, Dickinson is acceptable as long as you don’t abbreviate it!
3. Be polite and be positive, imagine you’re the interviewer and then be the person that you’d want to admit! Do you like learning?! Let me know it! Like our global ed. department?! I wanna hear about it! Be the best representative of yourself that you can be.
